Admission
Process
At LCBF we aim to make your application
to our school as simple as possible. In
order to do this we require specific
documents:
-
Copies of Educational
Qualifications issued by an
official body, or original
copies
- Copies of passport
- Enrolment form
- IELTS 5.5 or Above/
equivalent (preferred)
- Passing grade on telephone
interview before conditional
offer
- Passing grade on ESOL Test |
Our staff
will then take the time to process all
of your documents, and assess your
verbal and comprehensive tests to see
which level is most appropriate for you.
They will then email you a conditional
offer letter. You will then be required
to make the initial payment necessary.
Once the funds have arrived we will then
issue you a CAS number, which you can
then use to apply at your embassy for a
Student Visa to the United Kingdom.
The length of time necessary to process
your visa will vary from country to
country.
Once you arrive in the UK, you must
report to the college within 10 days of your
arrival, if you fail to do so, the
college then has the right to withdraw
sponsorship.
On your first day at the college, we
will take copies of your passport and
visa, and local contact information. You
will also have to sign a declaration to
state that you agree to maintain at at
least 80% attendance level.
You are required to complete an English
Placement Test to verify your standard
of English.
Following
this you will be issued with a
Student ID card, letter to open a bank
account, National Insurance letter, and
a student discount letter for Council
tax and provided with a letter to use to
register with General
Practitioner (doctor) and information on
how to apply for a Student Oyster card
which gives students 30% off travel
in and around London.
We will then give you your student
timetable and be guided to your starting
location.
We aim to make your adjustment to
student life in the UK as simple and
straightforward as possible and our
support team are always here to help
with any additional questions or
concerns.
